Selected candidates will draw pay as per the scale of pay notified for their respective post, ranging from Rs. 54,060-1,40,540 to Rs. 65,360-1,54,980 depending on the post. Refer to the vacancy table above for the exact pay scale applicable to each post.

APPSC Group-I Selection Process

Selection Procedure:

1. Screening Test (Preliminary Examination): Offline mode (Objective type & OMR based). Consists of two papers:

   • Paper-I: General Studies (120 Questions, 120 Minutes, 120 Marks) – covering History & Culture, Constitution & Polity, Economy & Planning, Geography.

   • Paper-II: General Aptitude (120 Questions, 120 Minutes, 120 Marks) – covering General Mental Ability, Science & Technology, Current Events.

   • Negative Marking: 1/3rd of marks deducted for each wrong answer.

2. Mains Examination (Descriptive Type):

   • Paper in Telugu – Qualifying (150 Marks, 180 Minutes)

   • Paper in English – Qualifying (150 Marks, 180 Minutes)

   • Paper-I: General Essay (150 Marks, 180 Minutes)

   • Paper-II: History, Culture and Geography of India and Andhra Pradesh (150 Marks, 180 Minutes)
