Age Relaxation

• PwBD candidates: 10 years' relaxation in the maximum age limit

• In-service regular government servants (of Bihar Government) who have completed 3 continuous years of service: 5 years' relaxation for moving to a higher pay scale

• Veterinary doctors who worked on a contractual basis under Bihar Government or any non-private institution (Central Government/undertaking/corporation/board/autonomous body) in an equivalent post, including under Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources Department projects: relaxation equal to the contract work period, subject to a maximum age of 8 years above the prescribed limit, calculated as on the cut-off date 01.08.2026

• Candidates who were within the age limit reckoned as on 01.08.2021 for the previous Touring Veterinary Officer/equivalent recruitment (per the 23.01.2006 provision), or who have since crossed the maximum age limit between then and 01.08.2026, remain eligible for this advertisement if they satisfy other eligibility conditions

• Ex-servicemen: 3 years plus the length of military service rendered, provided the candidate's actual age on the date of application does not exceed 57 years

• Computer Based Test (CBT): Objective type written examination of 100 marks. The exam will be based on the syllabus of B.V.Sc. & AH degree. Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

• Normalization: If the exam is held in multiple shifts, normalization will be applied to determine the final merit.

• Minimum Qualifying Marks: General – 40%, BC/EBC – 36.5%, SC/ST – 34%, PH/Disabled candidates – 32% (as per relevant government orders).

• Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the written test will be called for document verification as per merit list.

• Final Selection: Based on merit in CBT and successful document verification.
