CIL Management Trainee Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of online application (07-06-2026). Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply. A valid GATE-2025 score in Mining Engineering (Paper Code: MN) is mandatory - GATE scores of any other year (prior to or after 2025) will not be considered valid for this recruitment. The qualifying degree must be from a University/Institute recognized by the appropriate statutory authority in India and must be a regular full-time course.

Candidates having completed their degree or passed their final semester examination as on the cut-off date are eligible. In case of any dispute regarding admissibility of any particular qualification, the decision of the Chairman, Coal India Limited shall be final and binding.

CIL Management Trainee Recruitment 2026 - Selection Process

The selection process for CIL Management Trainee (Mining) Recruitment 2026 is based entirely on the valid GATE-2025 score in Mining Engineering (Paper Code: MN). There is no separate written examination. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted category-wise in the ratio of 1:3 (3 candidates per vacancy) in order of merit based on GATE-2025 Scores/Marks. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of GATE-2025 Scores/Marks only. An Offer of Appointment will be issued only after successful completion of Documents Verification (DV) and Initial Medical Examination (IME).
