CPRI Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification

All educational qualifications must be from a University/Institution/Board recognized by the Government of India and/or approved by UGC/AICTE/State Government, as applicable.

CPRI Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

The minimum age to apply is 18 years. Age, qualification and category will be reckoned as on the closing date of the online application, i.e., 12.10.2026. Upper age limit is relaxable as per Government of India norms.

CPRI Recruitment 2026 Salary

All posts also carry service benefits such as Leave, LTC and medical benefits as per Government of India norms applicable to CPRI employees. Probation for all posts is initially for 2 years.

CPRI Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Selection Procedure:

• Engineering Officer Gr.1 (Electrical/Civil): Selection will be based on GATE Score (valid GATE Score of 2024/2025/2026).

• Engineering Assistant (Electrical/Mechanical): Selection will be based on Computer Based Test (CBT) and job-specific practical skill test.

• Scientific Assistant: Selection will be based on Computer Based Test (CBT) and job-specific practical skill test.

• Technician Gr.1 (Electrical/Mechanical): Selection will be based on performance in Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates will also have to qualify a Trade Test.

• Technical Attendant Gr.1: Selection is based on performance in Computer Based Test (CBT).

• Assistant Gr. II: Selection will be based on performance in Computer Based Test (CBT).

• Multi-Tasking Staff Gr.1 (Watch & Ward Duties): Selection will be based on performance in Computer Based Test (CBT) and Trade/Proficiency Test.

• Tie-Breaking: In the event of a tie in CBT score or valid GATE score, the tie shall be resolved by placing the older candidate higher in the merit list (i.e., Date of Birth).
