DSSSB Combined Exam 2026 Selection Process

The detailed selection procedure has been mentioned in the official notification of DSSSB Recruitment 2026. But we are giving you here the short summary of the selection procedure. The candidates are advised to refer to official notification for selection procedure.

Selection Procedure:

Post Code 805/26 – Senior Personal Assistant & Personal Assistant:

  • Tier-I (MCQ): 90 MCQs, 90 Marks, 90 Minutes. Subjects: General English & Comprehension (50), General Knowledge (20), General Intelligence (20). Minimum qualifying marks: UR/EWS – 50%, OBC/SC/ST/PwBD/ESM – 45%. Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer.

  • Tier-II (Descriptive Test – English): 75 Marks, 90 Minutes. Essay (30), Grammar (25), Translation (20). Qualifying candidates: max 10 times vacancies.

  • Tier-III (Skill Test – English): Qualifying in nature. Senior PA: Shorthand @ 110 wpm (550 words/5 min, 40 min transcription, max 4% errors). Personal Assistant: Shorthand @ 100 wpm (500 words/5 min, 40 min transcription, max 4% errors). Typing @ 40 wpm for both.

  • Tier-IV (Interview): 10 Marks. Conducted by Delhi District Courts. Final merit based on Tier-II + Tier-IV marks.

Post Code 806/26 – Junior Judicial Assistant:

  • Tier-I (MCQ): 120 MCQs, 120 Marks, 120 Minutes. Subjects: General English & Comprehension (60), General Knowledge (30), General Intelligence (30). Minimum qualifying marks: UR/EWS – 50%, OBC/SC/ST/PwBD/ESM – 45%.

  • Tier-II (Descriptive Test – English): 100 Marks, 120 Minutes. Essay (50), Grammar (30), Translation (20).

  • Tier-III (Skill Test): Typing @ 40 wpm on Computer. Qualifying in nature.

  • Tier-IV (Interview): 15 Marks. Conducted by Delhi District Courts. Final merit based on Tier-II + Tier-IV marks.

  • Tier-I (MCQ): 100 MCQs, 100 Marks, 120 Minutes (160 min for PwD). Subjects: English (25), Hindi (25), General Knowledge (25), Arithmetic (25). Bilingual (English & Hindi). Max candidates for Tier-II: 15 times vacancies.

  • Tier-II (Driving/Skill Test): Qualifying only. Conducted in real traffic conditions.

  • Tier-III (Interview): 15 Marks. No minimum qualifying marks. Final merit based on Tier-I + Tier-III marks.

Post Code 808/26 – Peon/Orderly/Dak Peon:

  • Tier-I (MCQ): 100 MCQs, 100 Marks, 120 Minutes (160 min for PwD). Subjects: English (25), Hindi (25), General Knowledge (25), Arithmetic (25). Bilingual (English & Hindi). Max candidates for Tier-II: 10 times vacancies.

  • Tier-II (Interview): 15 Marks. No minimum qualifying marks. Final merit based on Tier-I + Tier-II marks.

Tie-Breaking Rule: If two candidates have equal marks, the senior in age is placed higher. If DOB is also same, the candidate whose first name comes first alphabetically (English) is placed higher.

How to Apply for DSSSB Combined Exam 2026

Here is the complete procedure to apply for DSSSB Recruitment 2026. The candidates should read the complete procedure to apply in the official notification from the links given below.

The application procedure for is not fully online. Candidates are advised to follow the detailed instructions given below.

  1. Candidates must register on DSSSB’s portal at https://dsssbonline.nic.in (one-time registration). Click on ‘New Registration’ if not already registered.

  2. Complete the Online Registration Form within the 30-minute session time. Keep photo identity proof (PAN Card/Voter ID/Driving License/Passport) scanned in jpg/jpeg format (15KB–60KB) ready.

  3. After registration, log in using your Registration Number and Password to fill the Online Application Form for the desired post.

  4. Fill in all required details carefully. Ensure correct and active email ID and mobile number are provided.

  5. Upload a recent clear colour photograph (plain white/off-white background, full face, front view, eyes open).

  6. Pay the application fee of ₹100/- through SBI e-pay (Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted).

  7. Submit the application before 04/11/2026 (till 11:00 PM). Take a printout of the submitted application for your records.

  8. No other mode of application (post/hand/email) will be accepted.

Documents Required

  • Matriculation/Secondary School certificate (date of birth proof)

  • Educational qualification certificates relevant to the post applied for (Graduation, Shorthand/Typing certificates, etc.)

  • LMV driving licence and proof of 2 years' driving experience (for Process Server)

  • OBC (Delhi) certificate with Non-Creamy-Layer certificate issued on/after 01.04.2026, where claiming OBC reservation (OBC-Outside-Delhi candidates are treated as UR)

  • EWS Income & Asset Certificate valid for FY 2026-27 (based on FY 2025-26 income), issued on or before 04.11.2026

  • Disability certificate, for PwBD candidates claiming reservation/relaxation (minimum 40% relevant disability required)

  • Discharge certificate/proof of military service, for Ex-Servicemen

  • Recent colour photograph (plain background) and signature, uploaded in the prescribed format

Supporting documents are sought only at the e-dossier stage after shortlisting; scrutiny is carried out by the concerned user department (Delhi District Courts), not DSSSB. Candidates who fail to upload the e-dossier within the given time are not considered further.

Important Conditions

  • Candidates must check their own eligibility (qualification, age, experience, PwBD suitability) for each post/department opted; ineligibility found at e-dossier/document verification leads to rejection for that post code with no reallocation

  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ESM/PwBD candidates selected purely on general merit are adjusted against unreserved vacancies, not reserved ones

  • Post/department preferences are exercised at the interview stage, are final and irreversible once confirmed, and cannot be changed later

  • Vacancies may vary (increase/decrease) at the discretion of the indenting department, with no compensation to candidates for such changes

  • Mobile phones, calculators, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, and other electronic gadgets are strictly banned in the exam hall; possession leads to debarment and possible legal action

  • A prescribed dress code applies: light clothing with half sleeves, no big buttons/brooch/badge, Salwar/Trouser, and only slippers/low-heeled sandals (no shoes)

  • Only one registration and one application per candidate are allowed; multiple submissions lead to cancellation and debarment

  • In case of discrepancy between English, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi versions of the advertisement, the English version prevails

  • DSSSB/Delhi District Courts reserve the right to change the examination scheme, cancel/modify the recruitment, or change exam centres at any stage
