Selection is through Walk-in mode. Candidates will be evaluated through Document Verification followed by Personal Interview. Final recommendations will be made on merit based on the following criteria:

Who should NOT apply for ECIL Walk-in Recruitment 2026?

  • Candidates who do not meet the minimum 60% aggregate marks in B.E./B.Tech. (for PE-C and TO-C) or Diploma (for APE-C); SA-C requires only ITI pass.

  • Candidates who do not have the required post-qualification experience — 3 years for PE-C, 1 year for TO-C and APE-C, 2 years for SA-C — in the relevant field; experience from internships, college projects, or academic institutions is NOT counted.

  • Candidates who have crossed the upper age limit (33 years for PE-C; 30 years for TO-C, APE-C, SA-C as on walk-in date), except those eligible for age relaxation.

  • Candidates seeking permanent government employment; this is strictly a temporary contract engagement for up to 4 years with no guarantee of regularization.

  • Candidates unwilling to work anywhere in India or relocate; ECIL requires readiness to work at any location based on organizational needs.

  • Candidates applying for more than one post category; only one category application is allowed.

  • OBC candidates who belong to the Creamy Layer; only Non-Creamy Layer OBC candidates (with certificate not older than 1 year from date of selection explicitly mentioning NCL) are eligible for OBC reservation.

  • Candidates whose qualification is through Distance/Correspondence mode or from institutions not recognized by appropriate statutory authorities.

Common Mistakes / What to Check Before Attending ECIL Walk-in Recruitment 2026?

  • Arriving late — registration closes sharp at 11:30 hrs and no exceptions are made; candidates must plan to reach the venue before 11:00 hrs to complete formalities comfortably.

  • Not downloading the Application Form from www.ecil.co.in before attending; candidates must bring a duly filled application form and resume to the walk-in venue.

  • Bringing experience certificates that do not mention duration (from and to dates) and post held; work experience without supporting documents will be excluded from experience calculation.
