GESCOM Apprenticeship Recruitment 2026 - Vacancy Details

A total of 275 vacancies have been announced - 175 for BE (Electrical & Electronics) Electrical Roster and 100 for Diploma (Electrical) Electrical Roster. These are distributed across UR (General), SC, ST, and OBC categories with sub-categories, and include separate counts for General and Women candidates.

GESCOM Apprenticeship Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the last date of application. Only candidates who have passed their BE / Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering after January 2022 are eligible to apply for 2026–27 apprenticeship training. Candidates who completed their BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering after January 2022 from a State/Central Government recognized or Government-aided institution are eligible. Candidates must be able to read and write Kannada. Priority will be given to Karnataka state candidates. Physically fit candidates will be given preference; differently-abled candidates are not eligible to apply. Candidates undergoing apprenticeship training in any other organization or currently employed elsewhere are not eligible. Candidates who have already completed their apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 are not eligible.

Qualification

GESCOM Apprenticeship Recruitment 2026 - Stipend

Note: Apprentices will not be entitled to food, accommodation, or any other allowances during the training period. The training organization (GESCOM) has no obligation to provide employment after the training period, nor is there any right to claim employment.

GESCOM Apprenticeship Recruitment 2026 - Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted for apprenticeship training on the basis of merit derived from their marks in the qualifying examination (BE / Diploma). The application must clearly state "For 2026–27 Apprenticeship Training - BE / Diploma holder" at the top. Candidates will be selected purely on merit based on qualifying examination marks. No written examination or interview is mentioned in the notification.

How to Apply for GESCOM Apprenticeship Recruitment 2026

Applications must be submitted offline only - either in person or by post. Online applications are not accepted. Completed application forms (self-written or typed) along with all required documents in self-attested copies must be submitted to the Principal Managing Officer (HR & Admin), GESCOM Corporate Office, Station Road, Jestaon, Kalaburagi – 585102, on or before 05-06-2026 by 5:00 PM. Applications submitted by post must reach the above address within the stipulated date and time. Incomplete applications or applications without required documents will be rejected. No correspondence of any kind (letters or phone calls) will be entertained. Candidates are advised to write "For 2026–27 Apprenticeship Training - BE / Diploma holder" clearly on the envelope.

• PUC (12th) marks card attested by Gazetted Officer (Xerox copy)

• All semester marks cards attested by Gazetted Officer (Xerox copies)

• All semester Diploma marks cards attested by Gazetted Officer (Xerox copies)

• Degree Certificate / Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) / Diploma Certificate (Xerox copies)

• Caste certificate - Xerox copy (attested by Gazetted Officer)

• Women candidates - Xerox copy of Government Hospital District Surgeon's medical fitness certificate attested by Gazetted Officer

• Character certificate from two Gazetted Officers (Xerox copy)

• Three recent passport-size photographs (one to be attached with the application)

• A self-addressed envelope with Rs. 25/- stamp affixed, 4x9 inch size - one envelope to be submitted along with the application

Important Instructions for GESCOM Apprenticeship Recruitment 2026 Candidates

• Only candidates who have passed BE (Electrical / Electronics) or Diploma (Electrical) after January 2022 are eligible to apply for 2026–27 apprenticeship training.

• Candidates must be able to read and write Kannada; preference will be given to Karnataka state candidates.

• Differently-abled candidates are not eligible to apply.

• Candidates currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any other organization or currently employed are not eligible.

• Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 are not eligible.

• Candidates who applied for apprenticeship in any other organization under the Apprentices Act, 1961, or who are currently undergoing such training, are ineligible (applications can be rejected at any stage).

• Incomplete applications or applications without all required documents will be summarily rejected.

• No correspondence (letters or phone calls) of any kind will be entertained after submission.

• Candidates will not be entitled to food, accommodation, or any other benefits during training.

• Completion of apprenticeship training does not confer any right to employment in GESCOM.

• Apprentices-in-training cannot raise any demand for rights or regularization of employment at any stage.
