• Pay Scale: Pay Level 09: Rs. 35,600/- to 1,12,800/-

Peon (Group-D)

• No. of Vacancies: 08 (UR-01, SC-02, ST-01, OBC-01, EWS-01, PH-02)

• Qualification: Matriculation from a recognized Board; 3 years experience in cooking in govt. undertaking or reputed hotel

• Age Limit: 18 to 45 years (UR/EWS); 18 to 50 years (Reserved categories/HP Govt. employees) as on 01.01.2026

• Pay Scale: Pay Level 01: Rs. 18,000/- to 56,900/-

Eligibility Criteria

• Librarian: Graduation with post graduate diploma in Library Science or Bachelor or Master's degree in Library Science. Experience: 3 years experience as Library Attendant or on higher post in the related field.

• Peon: Matriculation from a recognized Board. Experience: None.

• Mali: Matriculation from a recognized Board. Experience: Three (3) years' experience in gardening.

• Cook-cum-Attendant: Matriculation from a recognized Board. Experience: Three (3) years' experience in a govt. undertaking or reputed hotel in cooking.

Age Limit

• All Posts: Minimum Age: 18 years, Maximum Age: 45 years.

• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PH of HP: 5 years; HP Govt. Employees: As per orders/directions of High Court of H.P.

Selection Process

Selection Procedure:

• Librarian (Group-C): Final Merit List shall be drawn on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Test (Competitive Examination as per Schedule-IV, Part-G of R&P Rules, 2015).

• Peon, Mali, Cook-cum-Attendant (Group-D): Candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio 1:3 for Evaluation/Document Verification on the basis of marks obtained in Matriculation (calculated out of 85 marks) and Evaluation (15 marks). Final merit list shall be drawn on the basis of marks obtained in educational qualification and evaluation.

• Evaluation Criteria (15 Marks) for Group-D Posts:

  • Belonging to notified Backward Area/Panchayat: 01 Mark

  • Landless family/family having land less than 1 hectare: 02 Marks

  • Non-employment Certificate (no family member in Govt./Semi-Govt. service): 2.5 Marks

  • Differently abled persons with more than 40% disability: 01 Mark

  • NSS (at least one year)/NCC/Bharat Scout and Guide/National level sports medal winner: 01 Mark

  • BPL family (annual income below Rs. 40,000/-): 2.5 Marks

  • Widow/divorced/destitute/single woman: 01 Mark

  • Single daughter/Orphan: 1.5 Marks

  • Experience up to 5 years in Govt./Semi-Govt. Organization (0.5 marks per completed year): 2.5 Marks

• The High Court reserves the right to conduct Screening/Proficiency/Written Test at District Headquarter Shimla.
