HPRCA Recruitment 2026 Notification Overview

The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA) has officially released a recruitment notification for Junior Engineer. HPRCA Junior Engineer Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

Selection Process

Selection will be made through Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Screening Test followed by Document Verification.

• Computer Based Test (CBT): 120 Marks (Duration: 1½ Hours)

  • 120 Multiple Choice Questions (1 mark each)

  • Part (i): Subjects/fields upto the level of prescribed essential qualification (Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering)

  • Part (ii):

    • (a) General Knowledge including General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh & Current Affairs

    • (b) Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi of Matric Standard

• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 45% for General Category | 40% for SC/ST/OBC/WFF Categories (relaxable by maximum 5% if number of qualified candidates is less than vacancies)

• In case of multiple shifts, scores will be normalized using Z-Score Method (Mean & Standard Deviation Method)

• Document Verification of original certificates will be conducted for shortlisted candidates

• Final selection is based on merit of CBT + document verification

• A category-wise waiting list (panel) will also be prepared

• Selected candidates will be engaged as Job Trainee under Job Trainee Scheme-2025 (consolidated honorarium ₹23,500/- p.m.)

How to Apply

Application Mode: Online only through the official website https://hprea.hp.gov.in

Steps to Apply:

1. Candidates must first register on the One Time Registration (OTR) portal.

2. Login with OTR credentials and fill the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) Form with all mandatory details (Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth exactly as per Matric certificate, category, etc.).

3. Upload scanned copies of:

   • Recent passport-size photograph (not older than 1 month)

   • Signature

   • Matric/10+2 certificate, Diploma/B.E./B.Tech marksheets & degree

   • Category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/BPL/WFF/PwD etc.)

   • Any other required documents

4. Pay the examination & processing fee online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.

5. Submit the application and take a printout for future reference.

6. Correction window will open for 7 days (after 3 days of closing date) with additional fee of ₹100/-.

General Instructions

• Eligibility of candidates will be determined as on the closing date i.e. 02-05-2026.

• Candidates must be registered on OTR portal before filling ORA.

• Category certificates (OBC/EWS/BPL/WFF etc.) must remain valid throughout the selection process (closing date + document verification).

• Bonafide Himachali candidates must have passed Matric & 10+2 from any school/institution in Himachal Pradesh (relaxed for Bonafide Himachalis).

• PwBD/PwD candidates can avail scribe/reader and compensatory time (20 minutes per hour) after prior approval from HPRCA.

• No change in category or any details allowed after closure of correction window.

• Mere submission of application does not guarantee eligibility or call for CBT.

• All updates (roll number, admit card, result) will be available only on the official website https://hprea.hp.gov.in. Candidates must regularly visit the website.

• Candidates must keep their registered mobile number and email ID active till completion of selection process.

• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

• Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of Courts in Himachal Pradesh.

• The number of vacancies is tentative and may increase or decrease.

• The decision of HPRCA shall be final and binding.
