A total of 91 vacancies have been announced for the post of Junior Clerk under two quota categories - PACS Quota (74 posts) and OCS Quota (17 posts). These are distributed across General (UR), EWS, SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, IRDP, WFF, and PwBD categories. All reserved category benefits apply only to Bonafide Himachali candidates. Number of posts may vary depending on actual requirement at the time of final selection.

HPSCB Junior Clerk Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on 01-01-2026. All reserved category candidates must be Bonafide Himachalis. Reservation benefits are applicable only to Bonafide Himachali candidates. OBC candidates must submit a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate from competent authority. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBDs/Ex-SM and other reserved categories of HP may apply against unreserved/general category posts but will not be eligible for age relaxation or fee concession in such cases. Candidates must also ensure they are not directly or indirectly a defaulter of their society.

Experience certificates must be issued by the concerned Inspector of Society and countersigned by the Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Societies of H.P. with authentic certification. Such certificate must be supported by: (i) Copy of resolution of the managing committee for initial appointment, and (ii) Copy of relevant pages of statutory audit report/note for prescribed years showing payment of wages/salary from the society account.

Candidates must be above 18 years and below 45 years of age as on 01-01-2026. Candidates born between 02-01-1981 and 01-01-2008 (both days inclusive) are eligible. Age relaxation is applicable only to Bonafide Himachali candidates of the respective reserved categories. Selected PwBD candidates will have to submit a Medical Certificate from a competent authority confirming physical fitness to perform duties.

HPSCB Junior Clerk Recruitment 2026 - Application Fee

Candidates applying for the post of Junior Clerk are required to pay a non-refundable application fee as specified below. The fee must be paid online through the HPSCB application portal. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Bank transaction charges for online payment will have to be borne by the candidate.

The selection process for HPSCB Junior Clerk Recruitment 2026 consists of 2 stages - Online Examination (150 marks, 150 minutes, conducted through IBPS Mumbai) followed by Document Verification/Scrutiny. There is no personal interview. Candidates up to 1.75 times of vacant posts will be called for document verification. Final selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit in the online examination after document verification. Candidates must score minimum 40% marks in the online examination to be shortlisted for document verification. Candidates declared successful who do not personally attend document verification will have their candidature cancelled.

HPSCB Junior Clerk Recruitment 2026 - Exam Syllabus

The Online Examination consists of 5 sections - Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English, General Awareness, and H.P. Cooperative Societies Act and Rules - each carrying 30 marks (total 150 marks, 150 minutes). The level of examination and syllabus is in accordance with the minimum educational qualification criteria i.e. Graduation level. The question paper is bilingual (English and Hindi) and is of objective type MCQ. There is no negative marking. Preference will be given to candidates possessing knowledge of customs, traditions, languages, and culture of Himachal Pradesh and the test shall include questions on such subjects.

Hard copy applications or applications by any other mode will not be accepted. The online application window is open from 09-05-2026 to 29-05-2026.
