IRFC Assistant, Assistant Manager Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

Selection Process

Selection will be made through Computer Based Test (CBT), Document Verification, Interview (only for Post Code-02) and Medical Test.

• Computer Based Test (CBT): Single stage consisting of Part A & Part B (100 MCQs, 90 minutes duration; 120 minutes for eligible PwBD with Scribe).

  • Part A (50 marks): Mathematics/Numerical Ability (20), General Awareness (10), Logical Reasoning (10), Knowledge about Railways/IRFC (10).

  • Part B (50 marks): Subject-specific (Corporate Accounting, Finance, Taxation, etc.).

  • Negative marking: 1/4th marks deducted for wrong answer.

  • Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS – 40%, SC/OBC-NCL – 30%, ST – 25%.

  • Normalization applied if CBT held in multiple shifts.

  • Candidates up to 3 times the vacancies (community-wise) will be called for next stage based on CBT merit.

• Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will produce original documents/certificates for verification.

• Interview (only for Assistant Manager/Finance – E1 Level): Weightage 20% in final merit (CBT 80% + Interview 20%).

• Medical Test: Candidates must be medically FIT as per IRFC standards (C1 category).

Final merit prepared strictly as per CBT marks + Interview (where applicable) + extant reservation rules. Selected candidates will be on 1 year probation.

How to Apply

Application Mode: Online only through IRFC official website

Steps to Apply:

1. Visit the official IRFC website and register online.

2. Fill the online application form with all mandatory details.

3. Upload scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression and required certificates.

4. Pay the application fee online (if applicable).

5. Submit the form and take printout of the application for record.

6. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate applications.

7. Regular employees of IRFC are not required to produce NOC but must bring Vigilance & D&AR Clearance at Document Verification.

8. No documents to be sent by post; everything is online.

General Instructions

• Candidates must read the full notification carefully before applying.

• Mere submission of application does not guarantee selection.

• Age is reckoned as on 01-01-2026.

• Candidates must possess the prescribed essential qualifications as on the closing date.

• Reservation benefits are applicable as per Government of India rules.

• PwBD candidates (minimum 40% disability) can avail scribe facility and compensatory time.

• Ex-Servicemen candidates must produce Discharge Certificate/NOC.

• No TA/DA will be paid for attending CBT/Interview/Document Verification/Medical Test.

• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

• IRFC reserves the right to cancel/modify the recruitment process without assigning any reason.

• Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of Courts in Delhi only.

• All information/updates will be available only on the official IRFC website.

• Selected candidates will execute a Service Bond (Rs. 2 Lakh + GST for Assistant; Rs. 3 Lakh + GST for Assistant Manager) to serve IRFC for minimum 2 years.

• Appointment is subject to verification of antecedents and being found medically FIT.
