• Pay Scale: Level-4 in Pay Matrix Rs. 25,500–81,100 (as per 7th CPC)

Head Constable (Education & Stress Counsellor) - Female

• No. of Vacancies: 2 (UR-1, SC-0, ST-0, OBC-1, EWS-0)

• Qualification: Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with Psychology as a subject OR Degree from a recognized University with Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Teaching or equivalent.

• Age Limit: Between 20 to 25 years (Born not earlier than 28/10/2001 and not later than 27/10/2006). Age relaxation applicable as per rules.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess either of the following qualifications:

• Degree from a recognised university or equivalent with Psychology as a subject; or

• Degree from a recognised university along with Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Teaching, or an equivalent qualification.

ITBP Head Constable Salary

The Head Constable (Education and Stress Counsellor) post carries Pay Level 4 with a salary of Rs.25,500-81,100 under the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Selection Process

Phase I:

• Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying in nature (no marks awarded).
  Male: 1.6 Km Race (within 7.30 min), Long Jump (11 feet, 3 chances), High Jump (3½ feet, 3 chances).
  Female: 800 Mtr Race (within 4.45 min), Long Jump (9 feet, 3 chances), High Jump (3 feet, 3 chances).
  Note: PET not held for Ex-Servicemen.

• Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, Chest (male only), and Weight measurements as per prescribed standards.

Phase II:

• Written Examination (100 Marks): Objective type MCQs (OMR or CBT), 2 hours duration.
  Subjects: General English (10), General Hindi (10), General Awareness (10), Quantitative Aptitude & Simple Reasoning (10), Psychology (60).
  Minimum qualifying marks: UR/EWS/Ex-Servicemen – 35%; SC/ST/OBC(NCL) – 33%. No negative marking.

Phase III:

• Verification of Original Documents (Documentation): Shortlisted candidates based on written exam merit will undergo document verification.

• Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Candidates who qualify documentation will undergo DME.

• Review Medical Examination (RME): Candidates declared unfit in DME may appeal for RME. Decision of RME Board is final.

Merit List: Drawn category-wise (UR, SC, ST, OBC(NCL), EWS, Ex-Servicemen) based on written exam marks. Tie-breaking: older age first; if still tied, alphabetical order of name.
