A significant number of contractual vacancies have been announced across four health programmes. The vacancies are distributed across various reservation categories as per Government of Maharashtra norms including Open (UR), SC, ST, OBC (VJA, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D), VJNT, EWS, SEBC, and other categories.

MBMC NHM/NTEP/15th FC/HBT Eligibility Criteria 2026

Eligibility conditions differ post-wise and candidates must verify the specific requirements for the post they are applying for. All educational qualifications must be obtained from a UGC-approved, recognised university. Degrees from unrecognised institutions will not be considered. For all medical and paramedical posts where council registration is mandatory (MCI/MMC/MNC/MPC/Paramedical Council), the registration certificate must be submitted with the application.

Candidates must be Maharashtra domicile holders and must possess knowledge of Marathi - reading, writing, and speaking. Candidates with CGPA/Grade in their final year certificate must get it converted to percentage by the issuing institution and submit the certified conversion along with the application. Experience acquired only after obtaining the required minimum educational qualification will be considered.

The age of the candidate will be calculated as on the last date of application i.e., 04/05/2026. The minimum age for eligibility under NHM Maharashtra is 18 years. For Radiologist, Paediatrician, Microbiologist (MD), Full-Time Medical Officer (MBBS), and Part-Time Medical Officers, the maximum upper age limit is 69 years.

For nursing and paramedical staff, the maximum age for entry is 64 years. For all remaining posts, the upper age limit is 38 years for open/unreserved category and 43 years for reserved category candidates.

MBMC NHM/NTEP/15th FC/HBT Selection Process 2026

The selection process differs based on the nature of the post. For specialist and medical officer posts (Super-Specialist, Specialist, MBBS Medical Officer), selection is through direct interview using a structured scoring system of 50 marks covering subject knowledge (10), research and academic knowledge (10), leadership quality (10), administrative abilities (10), and experience (10 marks - 2 marks/year for government experience and 1 mark/year for private experience).

For all other posts, selection is based on a merit/scoring method without a direct interview, where marks are allotted based on final year percentage of minimum required qualification (50 marks), additional/postgraduate qualification percentage (20 marks), and relevant experience at 6 marks per year up to a maximum of 30 marks - totalling 100 marks.

After the merit list is prepared, candidates equal to 150% (1.5 times) of the number of vacancies will be called for original document verification. Candidates absent on the document verification day will be disqualified.

The application process requires two parallel steps - filling the mandatory Google Form online AND submitting the physical application in the prescribed format with all required documents. Both steps are compulsory. The Google Form link provided in the notification must be filled only once - no changes can be made after submission.

The physical application form must be printed, filled in the prescribed format, self-signed, and submitted along with self-attested photocopies of all academic, experience, caste, domicile, and other certificates. Applications can be submitted either in person at the MBMC Public Health Department office or sent by registered post.

Applications received after the deadline - whether by post or hand delivery - will not be entertained under any circumstances. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application for each post along with separate sets of all required documents. Important Instructions for Candidates
