Medical & Health Officer–I (M&HO-I)

• No. of Vacancies: 560

• Qualification: MBBS Degree from any recognized University under MCI (Medical Council of India); must be registered under Assam Medical Council.

• Age Limit: 21 to 38 years as on 01/01/2026. Upper age limit relaxable for reserved category candidates as per existing rules.

MHRB M&HO-I Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have Indian citizenship as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

• Government doctors already serving under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Directorate of Health Services (DHS), National Health Mission (NHM), Assam, or other Government of Assam agencies are eligible to apply, and no separate No Objection Certificate (NOC) is required from them to apply.

• Candidates already employed in Corporations/Boards or in private employment may apply with intimation to their present employer, and must produce an NOC from their employer at the time of document verification/interview.

MHRB M&HO-I Qualification

• The candidate must hold an MBBS degree from any university recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

• The candidate must be registered under the Assam Medical Council.

MHRB M&HO-I Age Limit

As on 01.01.2026, a candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 years of age, as per Government Notification AAP.115/72/Pt.I/194 dated 10.03.2008.
