A total of 2784 vacancies of Krishi Vistar Adhikari have been advertised by the Directorate of Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development, Madhya Pradesh. The category-wise distribution is given below.

Category-Wise and Horizontal Reservation Break-Up

• 168 posts are horizontally reserved for Divyangjan (PwD) candidates: 42 each for VH, HH, LD and MD categories. These posts are included within the Open posts of each category.

• 35% horizontal reservation applies for women and 10% for ex-servicemen in Class III posts, as reflected in the table above.

• Since the 27% OBC reservation matter is sub judice in the Hon'ble High Court, the rulebook also publishes a main table of 2410 posts (with OBC at 14%) and a provisional table of 374 posts.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification for MPESB Krishi Vistar Adhikari Recruitment 2026 is a Graduate degree (Bachelor's degree) in Agriculture or Horticulture from a recognised university.

• The qualification must be fully completed on or before the date of submitting the online application. Candidates acquiring the degree after the application date will not be considered eligible.

• The marksheet number, marks obtained and maximum marks of the qualifying degree must be entered in the online form.

Age Limit (As on 1 January 2026)

The minimum age for all candidates is 18 years. The maximum age limit is calculated as on 1 January 2026 and varies by category as shown below.

Other Eligibility Conditions

• The candidate must be a citizen of India (Nepal citizens may be eligible subject to the certificate required under MP Civil Services Recruitment Rules, 1961).

• Live registration in an Employment Office of Madhya Pradesh is mandatory for all applicants.

• Candidates who are not domiciles of Madhya Pradesh can apply only against Unreserved (Open) posts and will not get any fee concession, reservation or age relaxation.

• A candidate having more than two children, where one child is born on or after 26 January 2001, is not eligible for appointment.

• Candidates who married before the legal age (18 years for women, 21 years for men) are not eligible for appointment.

• Since the post is an Executive (Karyapalik) post, Baiga, Sahariya/Saharia and Bharia special primitive tribe candidates do not get exam exemption; they must apply online and appear in the exam as ST candidates.

• Aadhaar registration is mandatory, and the Aadhaar must be unlocked at the time of biometric verification.

MPESB Krishi Vistar Adhikari Salary 2026

Selected candidates will be appointed in the pay scale of Rs. 25,300 – 80,500 (Class III). As per the MP General Administration Department circular dated 12 December 2019, a stipend is paid during the probation period instead of the full pay scale:

• First year: 70% of the minimum of the pay scale (approximately Rs. 17,710 per month)

• Second year: 80% of the minimum of the pay scale (approximately Rs. 20,240 per month)

• Third year: 90% of the minimum of the pay scale (approximately Rs. 22,770 per month)

After successful completion of the probation period, the regular pay in the scale of Rs. 25,300 – 80,500, along with admissible allowances, is paid.

MPESB Krishi Vistar Adhikari Application Fee 2026

• MP Online portal fee: Rs. 60 if the form is filled through a kiosk, or Rs. 20 if filled through a registered citizen user login.

• Correction fee: Rs. 20 per correction, plus a portal fee of Rs. 40 for each correction made during the correction window.

• The fee can be paid through credit card, debit card, net banking or at an authorised MP Online kiosk.

MPESB Krishi Vistar Adhikari Selection Process 2026

The selection for the Agriculture Extension Officer post will be made through a single online written exam followed by document verification. There is no interview.

1. Online Written Exam (CBT): Objective-type paper of 200 marks conducted by MPESB.

2. Normalization: If the exam is held in multiple shifts, results are prepared using the Normalised Equi-Percentile (NEP) scaling technique.

3. Merit List and Waiting List: MPESB prepares a post-wise merit list; a waiting list of 15% of the total posts remains valid for one year or until the next exam result, whichever is earlier.

4. Document Verification: Certificates are verified by the Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Department, not by MPESB.

5. Appointment: Appointment orders are to be issued within a maximum of three months from the date of the selection list.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• Unreserved (UR): 50% marks

• SC / ST / OBC / EWS / Divyangjan: 40% marks (after 10% relaxation)

EWS candidates get the 10% relaxation in qualifying marks, but their selection is made on merit from the EWS list.

MPESB Krishi Vistar Adhikari Exam Pattern 2026

The exam consists of a single question paper of 200 marks with two parts, to be solved in 3 hours.

• Questions are objective (MCQ) type with four options each, in Hindi and English medium.

• Each correct answer carries 1 mark.

• Negative marking applies: 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer, as per clause 3.8 of the official rulebook.

• After the exam, candidates must confirm their RAW score (number of correct answers) displayed on the computer screen before submitting.

• Objections against questions can be filed online within three days of the objection link going live, with a fee of Rs. 150 per question.

• There is no provision for re-evaluation or re-totalling after the result is declared.

How to Apply for MPESB Krishi Vistar Adhikari Recruitment 2026

Only online applications are accepted; offline applications will be rejected. Follow these steps to apply between 3 July and 17 July 2026:

2. Open the application link for "Group-2 Sub Group-1 Krishi Vistar Adhikari Recruitment Test 2026".

3. Read the rulebook and eligibility conditions carefully before starting the form.

4. Fill in personal details, Aadhaar number/VID, permanent body identification marks, photo ID details, and educational qualification details (marksheet number, marks obtained and maximum marks).

5. Upload the photograph, signature and handwriting sample in the prescribed JPG format.

6. Select four exam city preferences in order of priority.

7. Pay the application fee through credit card, debit card, net banking or an authorised MP Online kiosk.

8. Submit the form, note down the application number, and keep a printout of the application and fee receipt safely. The application number is required to download the admit card.

Important Instructions for Applicants

• Aadhaar registration is compulsory, and multi-level Aadhaar-enabled biometric verification will be done at the exam centre. Keep your Aadhaar biometrics unlocked on the exam day; otherwise, entry to the exam will be denied.

• Entry to the exam centre is allowed only up to the reporting time. Latecomers will not be admitted.

• Mobile phones, calculators, log tables, digital watches, sunglasses, whitener, and all electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall. Violations are treated as Unfair Means (UFM) cases.

• Candidates cannot leave the exam hall before the exam ends.

• The educational qualification must be complete on or before the date of applying; final-year or result-awaited candidates are not eligible.

• Eligibility in the online exam is purely provisional; certificates are verified by the department during the appointment process.

• Any wrong information or impersonation leads to cancellation of candidature, and impersonation cases also invite an FIR and legal action.

• No correction of any kind is allowed after the correction window closes on 22 July 2026, and no correction is entertained after the admit card is issued.
