Mysore City Corporation UGD Helper Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must be conversant in Kannada.

• Candidate must currently be working in Mysuru Mahanagara Palike on a daily-wage/ welfare/ equal-pay-for-equal-work/ contract/ outsourcing basis, performing the same or equivalent UGD Helper-type duties, and must have completed a minimum of 2 years of continuous service in that capacity.

• Candidates engaged through STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) or Wet Well contract arrangements are excluded from this recruitment.

• Candidates must be able to produce ESI and PF documents (paid by the Corporation on their behalf), duly certified by the concerned officials.

Selection Procedure:

• Selection will be done as per Karnataka Municipal Corporation (Recruitment of UGD Helpers of State Corporations) (Excluding Greater Bengaluru Authority) (Special) Recruitment Rules 2026.

• Eligible candidates currently working as UGD Helpers under direct payment/welfare/equal pay/daily wages/contract/outsourcing (excluding STP/Wet Well) in Mysuru City Corporation will be considered.

• ESI and PF documents paid by MCC are mandatory for consideration.

• An eligibility list will be prepared based on the length of service rendered by candidates, subject to prevailing reservation rules.

• Priority will be given to candidates with longer service period as UGD Helper in MCC.

• If two or more candidates have the same service period, seniority will be determined by age (older candidates ranked higher). If date of birth and service period are also the same, selection will be done by lottery.

• A merit/eligibility list will be published on the MCC notice board as per Rule 4, Sub-rule (2) and (5).

• An additional list of 20% of selected candidates for each category/reservation will also be prepared.

• If selected candidates do not report for duty within the stipulated period, the next candidate from the additional list of the same category will be considered.

• Caste certificate validity from the District Collector (Chairman, Caste and Income Verification Committee) is required before issuing appointment orders for reserved category candidates.

• The selected candidates list will remain valid until all identified vacancies are filled or for one year from the date of publication of the selection list, whichever is earlier.

• Publication of a candidate’s name in the list does not confer any right to appointment; the final decision rests with the Chairman, Selection and Direct Recruitment Authority and Special Commissioner, Mysuru City Corporation.
