NGEL Manager Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

NGEL has advertised a total of 34 Manager (E-4 Grade) posts. Current vacancies have been calculated as per the existing roster position, and the total number of projected vacancies indicated may increase or decrease at the discretion of NGEL Management.

Reservation for PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates will be as per Government guidelines, within the identified disability categories listed for each post (see Identified Disabilities section below).

NGEL Manager Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

A. Manager – RE (E-4 Grade) – 28 Posts

Qualification: Fulltime Graduate in Engineering (Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics/ Control & Instrumentation/ Civil/ Mechanical) with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognised University/Institution in India.

Experience Profile: Minimum 10 years of post-qualification executive experience in the Power Sector in a Govt Organization/Public Sector Undertaking/Private Organization (including training period, if any). Of this, at least 4 years of working experience should be in the following areas at Renewable Energy Developers having at least 50 MW or more of grid-connected Solar and/or Wind and/or BESS Project(s): Business Development, Engineering, Contracts & Procurement, Commercial, Project Management, Corporate Planning, or Strategy.

B. Manager – Finance (E-4 Grade) – 5 Posts

Qualification: CA/CMA (previously ICWA) qualified from an institute recognised by the appropriate statutory authority in India.

Experience Profile: Minimum 10 years of post-qualification executive experience (excluding articleship period and including training period, if any) in the area of Finance/Accounts in a Govt Organization/Public Sector Undertaking/Private Organization. Candidates with knowledge of SAP, MS Office and Data Analytics will be preferred; preference will also be given to candidates who have worked with an RE Developer company.

C. Manager – Land (E-4 Grade) – 1 Post

Qualification: Full Time PG Degree/PG Diploma/PG Programme in Rural Management/ Rural Development/ Displacement/ Resettlement/ Rehabilitation/ Community Development/ Local Governance/ Local Development/ Livelihoods/ Social Entrepreneurship/ Social Development/ Social Administration/ Sustainable Development/ Development Policy & Practice/ Development Studies, OR MSW, OR MBA, OR Graduate in Engineering, with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognised University/Institution in India.

Experience Profile: Minimum 10 years of post-qualification executive experience (including training period, if any) in land acquisition/land aggregation/land management in a Govt Organization/Public Sector Undertaking/Private Organization. Of this, at least 4 years of experience should be in land acquisition/aggregation/management for Renewable Energy developers having at least 50 MW or more of grid-connected Solar and/or Wind and/or BESS Project(s). Candidates with knowledge of SAP, MS Office and Data Analytics will be preferred.

Experience Norms for Govt/PSU Candidates (All Three Posts)

Candidates currently working in a Govt/Public Sector Undertaking and applying for any of the above E-4 level posts should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the scale of Rs. 60,000–180,000 or above (IDA Pay Scale of E-3 Grade or above of DPE, effective from 01.01.2017) or an equivalent scale, out of the 10 years of post-qualification executive experience mentioned above (including training/trainee period, if any).

Health Standards

Candidates should be in sound health. Before joining, selected candidates must undergo a medical examination at a specified Government hospital (having the status of at least a district hospital). The medical fitness decision issued by the hospital is final and binding, and no relaxation in the prescribed health standards is allowed. NGEL Manager Recruitment 2026 Pay Scale

All three posts - Manager – RE, Manager – Finance, and Manager – Land - are at the E-4 Grade level, carrying the IDA pay scale of Rs. 70,000 – 200,000/- (w.e.f. 01.01.2017). The notification does not specify additional allowances or gross salary figures beyond this pay scale.

NGEL Manager Recruitment 2026 Application Fee

The fee can be paid only in online mode through the SBI Collect Payment Gateway, using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI, within the online application form itself. The fee, once paid, will not be refunded under any circumstances; candidates are advised to verify their eligibility before paying the registration fee.

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST candidates: 5 years, where a vacancy is identified for the category

• OBC candidates: 3 years, where a vacancy is identified for the category

• PwBD candidates: 10 years, where a vacancy is identified for the category

• Ex-Servicemen: as per applicable Government guidelines

All computations of age, experience, and qualification will be done with reference to the last date of receipt of the online application, i.e. 31 August 2026.

NGEL Manager Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

To restrict the number of candidates for the selection process, if required, NGEL Management reserves the right to conduct a multistage selection process, which may comprise:

• Application shortlisting/screening (based on qualification, percentage of marks, number of years of experience, etc.)

• Written Test / Group Discussion / Interview, or a combination of Written Test, Group Discussion, and Interview

NGEL Management also reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards or criteria as per requirement. Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement does not by itself entitle a candidate to be shortlisted or called for the Written Test/Group Discussion/Interview, or to be considered further in the selection process.

Documents Required for NGEL Manager Recruitment 2026

Candidates must upload clear, legible, self-attested copies of the following documents at the time of applying:

• Class X/Matriculation passing certificate/mark sheet, and a valid Aadhaar Card and PAN Card, as proof of name and date of birth (name and DOB should match across all documents).

• Engineering/CA/CMA/PG/MSW/MBA (as applicable to the post applied for) consolidated mark sheet/transcript or all-semester mark sheets clearly indicating the aggregate percentage of marks, and the passing certificate.

• Marks conversion formula from the university/institute, for conversion of CGPA/CGPI/DGPA/CGI/CPI etc. into a percentage.

• Documents related to any other qualifications (pass certificate and mark sheets), if applicable.

• Caste/Disability certificate (for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/EWS candidates), as applicable.

• OBC-NCL certificate in the central format, valid for financial year 2026-27.

• Current-year Income & Asset certificate for EWS candidates, valid for FY 2026-27 based on FY 2025-26 income.

• Disability certificate as per the latest prescribed Central Government format, generated online through the Swalamban/UDID portal, clearly indicating the type and percentage of disability in line with the identified disability categories for the post.

• Experience-related documents for each organisation, arranged chronologically starting from the current/most recent employer back to the first employer, which may include: Experience/Service Certificate; Offer of Appointment/Appointment Letter/Offer Letter with Joining Letter/Joining Order/Confirmation Letter/Absorption Letter/Order on Completion of Training/Relieving Letter (as applicable); two pay slips per year of service in each organisation; and Form 16 for the last three financial years.

• Documents demonstrating position held/designation, work area, and nature of experience - such as Role Assignment Orders, Organization Charts, Transfer Orders, or Promotion Orders.

Incomplete, inadequately supported, or improperly arranged experience documents may result in the application not being considered during scrutiny and eligibility verification. Candidates from Govt Organizations/PSUs will also be required to produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of interview; if the NOC is not available at that stage, the candidate may be provisionally allowed to appear, subject to an undertaking to submit the NOC within a stipulated time or obtain proper relieving before joining NGEL, if selected.

Steps to Apply Online

1. Visit the Careers section of www.ngel.in and locate the notification for Advertisement No. 03/26.

2. Register with a valid, active email ID (this cannot be changed later; all further correspondence will be sent only via this email ID).

3. Fill in the online application form with accurate personal, educational, and experience details for the post being applied for.

4. Upload all required documents as listed in the Documents Required section above, in clear and legible format.

5. Pay the applicable registration fee online (General/EWS/OBC candidates only) through the SBI Collect Payment Gateway using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

6. After submitting the application, download the system-generated application slip bearing a unique form number, and retain a copy for future reference. No documents need to be sent by post.

In case of multiple applications submitted by a candidate for the same post, the application with the higher application sequence number will be considered.

Important Instructions
