NIA Ministerial Staff Recruitment 2026 – Post-wise Eligibility Criteria

1. Section Officer / Office Superintendent Officers of Central Government / State Government / Union Territories:

  • Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; OR

  • With 5 years' service in Level-6 (Rs. 35,400–1,12,400) on regular basis; AND

  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University

  • Computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheet, slide generation) certified by cadre controlling authority

  • Maximum age: 56 years as on closing date

2. Assistant Officers of Central Government / State Government / Union Territories:

  • Holding analogous posts on regular basis; OR

  • With 6 years' service in Level-5 (Rs. 29,200–92,300) on regular basis; AND

  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University

  • Passed computer proficiency test as prescribed by Staff Selection Commission

  • Maximum age: 56 years as on closing date

3. Stenographer Grade-I Officers from Stenographer's cadre under Central Government / State Government / UTs:

  • Holding analogous posts on regular basis; OR

  • With 6 years' service in Level-5 (Rs. 29,200–92,300); OR

  • With 10 years' service in Level-4 (Rs. 25,500–81,100) on regular basis; AND

  • Graduate Degree from a recognized University

  • Computer proficiency

  • Skill Test: Stenography at 100 words per minute (10 minutes); transcription 40 minutes (English) / 55 minutes (Hindi) on computer

  • Maximum age: 56 years as on closing date

4. Upper Division Clerk (UDC) Officers of Central Government / State Government / Union Territory Administrations:

  • Holding analogous posts on regular basis; OR

  • With 8 years' service in Level-2 (Rs. 19,900–63,200) on regular basis; AND

  • 12th class pass from a recognized Board

  • Maximum age: 56 years as on closing date

5. Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Officers of Central Government / State Government / Union Territory Administrations:

  • Holding analogous posts on regular basis; AND

  • 12th class pass from a recognized Board or equivalent

  • Maximum age: 56 years as on closing date

Common Notes for All Posts:

  • Deputation period shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years (including any preceding ex-cadre deputation)

  • Departmental officers in the direct line of promotion are not eligible for deputation

  • Deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration by promotion

  • Special Security Allowance: 20% of basic pay (in addition to DA, HRA, TPT and other allowances)

NIA Ministerial Staff Recruitment 2026 – How to Apply

This recruitment is through deputation basis only and not through direct online application. The process is as follows:

Step 1 – Eligible officers should obtain the Bio-data/CV proforma (Annexure-II) available on the NIA website at nia.gov.in/recruitment-notice.htm.

Step 2 – Fill the Bio-data proforma duly countersigned by the competent authority.

Step 3 – The nominating Ministry / Department / Organization should forward the nomination through proper channel to the DIG (Admin), NIA Hqrs, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003.

Step 4 – Ensure all required documents listed below are attached before dispatching.

Step 5 – Applications must reach NIA Headquarters within 02 months from the date of publication of this advertisement in the Employment News.

Documents Required Along with Nomination

  • Bio-data in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-II), duly countersigned by the competent authority (available at nia.gov.in/recruitment-notice.htm)

  • Photocopies of APARs dossier from the year 2020–2021 to 2024–25, duly attested

  • Departmental Enquiry / Vigilance clearance certificate

  • Integrity Certificate
