Eligibility Criteria

Selection Procedure:

For Driver, Translator, and Field Artist:

• Objective Type (MCQ) Written Examination in two parts (Part A & Part B).

• Part A: Punjabi Language paper at 10th level – Qualifying in nature (minimum 50% marks required).

• Part B: Subject-specific paper – Merit list prepared based on Part B marks only. Negative marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer.

• Candidates shortlisted based on merit will be called for document verification/counselling.

For Clerk (Legal), Clerk (Accounts), Clerk (IT):

• Objective Type (MCQ) Written Examination in two parts (Part A & Part B).

• Part A: Punjabi Language paper at 10th level – Qualifying in nature (minimum 50% marks required).

• Department preference for Clerk (Legal) and Clerk (IT) posts will be taken later.

Tie-breaking criteria: Date of birth (older candidate preferred) → Percentage in required educational qualification → Matric marks.

1. Visit the Board’s official website https://sssb.punjab.gov.in and click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.

2. New candidates must register by clicking ‘Registration’ and filling in their details to generate a User ID (Email ID) and Password.

3. Login using the registered Email ID and Password.

4. Fill in the online application form with personal, educational, and other required details accurately.

5. Upload a passport-size photograph (or capture a live photo via camera) and a scanned copy of your signature.

6. Click ‘Save Draft’ or ‘Next’ to proceed.

7. Click ‘Attach Annexure’ and upload scanned copies of 10th class certificate, educational qualification certificates, and other mandatory documents in PDF format.

8. Click ‘Save Documents’ after uploading all documents.

9. Click ‘Make Payment’ and pay the application fee online.

10. After successful payment, click ‘Submit’ to complete the application process.

11. Take a printout of the submitted Application Form and keep it for future reference.
