Dialysis Technician

RRB CEN 05/2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must already possess the prescribed educational/technical/professional qualification from a recognised Institute/University as on the closing date, 14.10.2026. Candidates awaiting final results are NOT eligible to apply.

RRB CEN 05/2026 Post-wise Qualification & Medical Standard

Open and Distance Learning (ODL) qualifications from UGC-recognised Universities/Institutions of National Importance are accepted for ECG Technician and Lab Assistant Gr. II posts, subject to UGC approval.

RRB CEN 05/2026 Age Limit

Age is reckoned as on 01.01.2027. The lower and upper age limits vary by post, as shown in the Vacancy table above (ranging from 18–33 years to 20–40 years). Date of birth must match the Matriculation/SSLC certificate; no subsequent change will be considered.

If a candidate is eligible for relaxation on more than one ground, only the maximum single relaxation applies (not cumulative). SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates applying against UR vacancies will not get any age relaxation.

RRB CEN 05/2026 Selection Process

The detailed selection procedure has been mentioned in the official notification of RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2026. But we are giving you here the short summary of the selection procedure. The candidates are advised to refer to official notification for selection procedure.

Selection Procedure:

• Computer Based Test (CBT): Single stage CBT of 90 minutes duration for 100 questions (120 minutes for PwBD candidates eligible for scribe). Questions are objective multiple-choice type with four options. Subjects include: Professional Ability (70 marks), General Awareness (10 marks), General Arithmetic/Intelligence/Reasoning (10 marks), General Science (10 marks). Negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every wrong answer applies.

• Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS – 40%, OBC(NCL) & SC – 30%, ST – 25% (applicable to ExSM and PwBD as per community). Relaxation of up to 2 marks for PwBD candidates in case of shortage.

• Shortlisting for Document Verification (DV): Candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be shortlisted based on CBT merit (1:1 ratio). Normalisation of marks will be done for CBTs held in multiple shifts. Tie-breaking by age (older preferred), then alphabetical order of given name.

• Document Verification (DV): Original certificates and two sets of self-attested photocopies to be submitted. Candidates must upload scanned copies of Photo & Signature before DV date.

• Medical Examination: Candidates must pass the requisite medical fitness test conducted by Railway Administration as per prescribed medical standards (B1, C1, or C2 depending on post).

• Empanelment: Based on merit in CBT, successful DV, and passing medical examination. Post and Railway/Unit allotted as per candidate’s options, merit, reservation, and vacancy position.

1. Visit the official RRB website at https://rrb.indianrailways.gov.in/

2. Create an Account (or use existing account credentials from previous RRB CENs 2024/2025/2026).

3. Authenticate identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during account creation.

4. Fill in the ONLINE application form with correct information and re-check before submission.

5. Capture a live photograph as per instructions in Para 14.4 (no pre-existing photo upload).

6. Upload scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format as per specifications.

7. Upload SC/ST Certificate (if applicable, for free train travel pass) in PDF format.

8. Indicate preference for Railway Zone and posts/categories in the chosen RRB.

9. Select medium of examination from available options.

10. Pay the prescribed examination fee online (internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI) before 16.10.2026.

11. If modifications are needed, use the modification window from 17.10.2026 to 26.10.2026 by paying Rs. 250/- per modification.

12. Scribe-eligible candidates must furnish scribe details during the 5-day window (27.10.2026 to 31.10.2026) after the modification window closes.

13. Download e-call letter from the official RRB website approximately 4 days before the CBT date.

RRB CEN 05/2026 Important Instructions

• Candidates must fulfil all prescribed educational and technical qualifications on or before the closing date; those awaiting final results are not eligible.

• RRB-wise and Railway-wise vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease per Railway administration requirements.

• Candidates can choose only one RRB and indicate preferences for Railway Zones and posts within that RRB; options once exercised are final.

• Candidature is provisional at all stages; certificates for educational qualification, age, caste/category, etc. are verified only at the time of Document Verification.

• Crucial date for claiming SC/ST/OBC/EWS/EBC status or any other benefit is the closing date for online application submission, unless specified otherwise.

• Candidates must fulfil the prescribed medical standards for their opted post; those found medically unsuitable will not be given an alternative appointment.

• City/centre allocation and CBT dates are based on technical and logistical feasibility; requests for change of exam date/centre/shift will not be entertained.

• Details filled in the "Create an Account" form (including mobile number and email ID) and chosen RRB cannot be modified at any stage.

• Banned items in the examination hall include mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, and other electronic gadgets; violation leads to cancellation of candidature and debarment.
